Who we are
Project-OM (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides Operating & Maintenance (O&M) manual production for UK electrical contractors at www.project-om.co.uk. This policy applies to visitors to our website and to clients using our online portal.
Information we collect
- Account and company details — when you sign up, we collect your name, email address and company details to create your account and manage your projects.
- Project documents — job specifications, manufacturer datasheets, drawings, test and commissioning certificates and other files you upload so we can produce your O&M manual. These are stored securely and used only to deliver your manual.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Contact form submissions — if you contact us, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message.
- Usage data — information about how visitors use our website, collected via cookies and analytics tools (see “Cookies and analytics” below).

Cookies and analytics
- Essential cookies — our portal uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session. These are necessary for the service to work and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies — with your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed. You can accept or decline these in the cookie banner shown when you first visit the site.
- Performance monitoring — we use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which collect anonymised, aggregated performance data and do not use cookies or store personal information.
Who we share information with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Project-OM. They only receive the information needed to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.
- Supabase — database, authentication and document storage
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional emails, such as payment confirmations
- Vercel — website hosting and performance analytics
- Google — website analytics (with your consent)
How long we keep your information
We keep your account details and project documents for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your information unless we need to keep it for legal reasons, such as financial records.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct inaccurate information
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information
- receive a copy of your information in a portable format
- object to certain uses of your information
